“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” ~Nelson Mandela

Education is such a critical tool for everyone. Our world is ever changing, and we must always be open to what might come to us next. It is critical within education that our work is student-centered, and data driven while also allowing student and teachers to be risk takers. This takes educator and community collaboration to accomplish a vision of the future. I am excited each year to take this journey with all stakeholders, and see the amazing successes for all students!!

Being born and raised in a family of educators, I found myself following this same path. I attended and graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Psychology and Elementary Education in 2003. When I graduated, I worked as a para-educator in an Autism program in Boulder Valley, where I found my true passion in Special Education. In 2006, I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Severe Needs Affective Disorders and a Generalist Special Education License. While in my Master’s program, I worked as the teacher in the Autism program in which I had previously been a para-educator. In 2006, I began teaching in a Jefferson County Significant Support Needs 3 program at Eiber Elementary. In 2010, I returned to the University of Colorado Denver, and completed my Administration degree. In 2014, I became the Instructional Coach at Bradford Primary, and was made the Bradford Primary Assistant Principal in 2015.

In my free time, I love to be outside. During the summers, I spend much of my time on the water fishing or paddle boarding. In the winter, I am often on the mountain snowboarding. The summer of 2014, I got my yoga teaching license, and try to spend time practicing often. I also enjoy traveling with my boyfriend. Recently we have been to Costa Rica, Curacao, Mexico, Montana, and road tripped down the Oregon coast. We also love to cheer on the Broncos!
